The past few months I have been working with various clients to update their homes with these great additions and more. What is the next upgrade you are thinking of for your house? What is your dream addition? Keep in mind, an addition doesn’t need to be BIG to have a BIG impact for your family. Each of these additions were under a 120 sq.ft. footprint.
These homeowners needed a dedicated laundry room to make aging in place a bit easier. Decorated with beautiful pieces from her mother’s collection, the homeowner added her own flair for style with patterned floors and a bright painting. The large window is matching the style of other dramatic windows in the master suite and kitchen. Who wouldn’t want to fold clean clothes in this space?
This client was looking for some extra “hangout” space without doing a major addition to their home, so they decided on a screened porch — extending the living area outside to enjoy milder weather. They knew right away they wanted a more modern design, so we developed split shed roofs to fit to the existing home and stand out from the view of the house from the driveway. With plenty of room for lounging and meals or morning coffee, this client is enjoying their new screened porch.
